Mia and Harrison from the Rewind and Reconsider podcast brought the boys Showgirls to watch! Like the film, not real life showgirls… that’d be kind of weird and also overwhelming. This movie, which was directed by Paul Verhoeven, is notoriously bad and was a massive flop in the box office. Luckily its badness gave it a sort of cult following.
Imagine the director of in your face anti-war movies like Starship Troopers and Robocop taking a swing at the entertainment/sex industry. It handles sensitive subject matters like a monkey with hammer. This movie was recommended by Mia who also recommended filling an entire month with only Madea movies.
