Legend of the Guardians was a movie with maybe one of the longest titles of all time. I’m not even going to write it out in this description because it would make it too long; SEO be damned. Planned to watch this movie back when Sam Neil passed away, which now feels like forever ago. Regardless this movie is one of the first movies where Zach Snyder we feel wanted to show he had range. He wanted to say, “I don’t just make movies about shirtless men who kick people into holes and super hero movies! I can make movies for kids too.”
Well he did. And the movie is honestly not that bad. It’s maybe a little convoluted at times, but the message is clear: Being a Nazi is bad. The other message we learned from this movie is that having Owl City make a song for a movie about owls is way, way, way too on the nose.
