We close out Steven Stinkers with one of his latest stinkers, the BFG. Now we want to mention that The BFG is a silly name. Because compared to other giants, he’s actually pretty small. Should be called the LFG to be honest. But that’s just a wittle twingy twanger that bothers us. Mark Rylance stars as the BFG and despite being a character that’s fully CGI, he does a great performance. That can be attributed to the special effects presented in the movie. The main character, Sophie, goes to giant land and the practical effects mixed with the CGI result in some dazzling scenes. Not enough to dazzle audiences though as this is still a Steven Stinker.

Also Roald Dahl, really loves using silly little idioms, which makes those whole movie just seem a bit silly. YES WE KNOW IT’S FOR KIDS. Grab some snozzcumbers, slap on some heady-phonies, and get ready to take a ride with the Other Half into Giant Country.
