HoneyBees is back to discuss The Towering Inferno with Mike and Ethan. The movie depicts a grand opening celebration for the world’s tallest skyscraper, the Glass Tower, which sadly catches fire due to bad wiring. The film follows the efforts of the building’s architect, played by Paul Newman, and the fire chief, played by Steve McQueen, as they work together to rescue the trapped guests, including the building’s owner, portrayed by William Holden. Faye Dunaway also appears along with other notable actors of the time. The movie has it all: romance(?), peril, people cutting corners, awful son-in-laws, big buildings, bad decisions, and, of course, fire!
